Mental wellness that notices first

Rainfall Meditation,
help is at hand.

1 · It reads your day

It notices, so you don't have to explain.

From the shape of your day — a short night, a packed calendar, a restless heart — Rainfall infers how you're feeling and reflects it back as weather. It always shows its working, on your iPhone. A tap tells it when it's read you wrong.

2 · Help is at hand

One nudge, not a library to dread.

For whatever it read, Rainfall has something already waiting — a breath, a short meditation, a reflection, or a rainfall soundscape for sleep. And it never lets you forget the kind part: feelings are weather, and weather passes.

3 · Your climate over time

Progress that doesn't pressure.

Your weeks become a serene climate — gentle trends, clear-sky stretches shown as atmosphere, never a streak to lose. “You've met the morning 12 days.” However today goes is okay.

Trust · a maker's promise

A maker's promise, in writing.

Rainfall is independent software, built and supported by one person. The Heirloom License is how that becomes a strength, not a risk you have to take on faith.

Founder & developer, Rainfall

I'm Alan. For 25+ years I've built and led digital product teams — at Target, lululemon, Dollar Shave Club, Quip, and Munchkin among others — shipping software used by millions. Rainfall is the work I want to be doing now: something quiet, kind, and built to last.

The Heirloom promise

If I disappear, the code is yours.

Rainfall is licensed under the Heirloom License — variant HL-1.0-MPL2.0-12mo. If Rainfall is ever truly abandoned — twelve months of silence with no answer to a good-faith support request — the full source code automatically opens under MPL-2.0. Forever. The promise is in the license; a dead-man's switch in the repo delivers it.
